Nottingham Nourishment Network CIC

Founded in 2021 as Ital Idana, Nottingham Nourishment Network set up to provide culturally appropriate food and nutritional education for the Black community in Nottingham. Over the past few years they have created resources and distributed fresh food within their community, this has all been self-funded. Now incorporated as Nottingham Nourishment Network CIC, they run a variety of projects including Ital Idana Community, Ital Abundance Community Garden and Ital Iwe Mobile Library.

Ital Iwe Mobile Library

“Access to information is essential, we can’t underestimate it. As we lose more and more of our public services and free resources, most of which weren’t culturally relevant to us anyway, it’s important that we start collecting and providing the educational resources that we need.”

In the library you'll find a range of books focusing on Afrikan and other Indigenous cultures, radical health and wellness, land, LGBTQIA+, community and intersectional politics. You can borrow books at mobile library events or get in touch through the website.
