Saraswathi Du: Golden Shit — Storytelling and In-Conversation
Video to be uploaded.
As part of the Kolam exhibition’s online extension, this video features writer, performer, and activist Saraswathi Du reading her powerful short story “Golden Shit”, which confronts caste, labor, and state violence through satire and lived experience.
The reading is followed by a conversation with curator Raghavi Chinnadurai, delving into themes of gendered labor, ecological injustice, and anti-caste resistance. This session was produced by Joshua Lockwood-Moran and presented in collaboration with Dr. Nicole Thiara and CADALFEST.
This offering reflects Kolam’s commitment to feminist, Dalit, and place-based epistemologies—treating storytelling as both curatorial gesture and political method.
