We’re pleased to announce that Primary has been awarded £148,876 from the Arts Council England Capital Kickstart Fund, as part of the government’s wider Culture Recovery Fund. The grant will contribute to the first stage of our capital development project, making it possible for us to continue the refurbishment of our building and facilities throughout 2021, and to plan ambitiously for Primary’s future.

“This investment acknowledges what an extraordinary artist-led organisation Primary has become. We opened in 2012, joined the Arts Council’s National Portfolio in 2018 and recently secured the freehold of our site. In challenging times, this Kickstarter grant will enable us to continue the transformation of our building into a public resource, increasingly welcoming to the widest range of people in Nottingham and beyond.” (Niki Russell, Director)
