  • Primary 33 Seely Road Nottingham, NG7 1NU United Kingdom (map)

When: Friday 15 August, 12–2 PM
Where: Gallery 2 & Studio A4

to unearth the sun - a collective spell is a project working with the theme of home, but specifically connected to the experience of darkness during the winter months in the Nordics. Amina Seid Tahir & Adam Seid Tahir are building a fictional world where the sun is located under the ground, where they practice collective echolocation. It’s a world where one must work together to unearth the day, every day, a world where light and warmth cannot exist without collectivity. On Friday, 15 August, they are sharing their work from their Studio A4 residency at Primary. It’ll consist of early drafts, a soundscape and a small installation of soil and light.

Timings:

12:00 - 13:00: Presentation of the project
13:00 - 14:00: Tea and snacks

This is a drop-in event; you can come and leave as you wish. The soundscape will be turned on during the presentation and will be left on until 14:00.
