You’ll learn not only how to coax extraordinary blues from these plants in the dye garden at Primary, but also explore lesser known recipes for surprising pinks, turquoise and gold. You will have the opportunity to experiment with traditional pattern making techniques: "‘hapazome’ to imprint the leaf on fabric or paper; and ‘shibori’ resist dyeing on fabric. You will share an inclusive seasonal lunch with your co-workshop participants, and enjoy complimentary sweet treats throughout the day, all made by the award-winning Small Food Bakery. At the end of the day, you’ll return with a body of beautifully dyed samples on wool and silk and your own shibori-dyed creation.
