Listening Space - Deep Listening Room & Live Performance

Supported by New Midland Group, Primary resident and experimental sound artist Tom Harris presents Listening Space - Deep Listening Room & Live Performance.

The event encourages Deep Listening Practices, purveyed by Musician and Scholar Pauline Oliveros. Tom invites audiences to explore their senses in a mindful environment, becoming conscious of the way we listen to and experience music and audio artwork.

Expect to enjoy a selection of audio works by Midlands-based artists, played on a Reel-to-Reel tape machine for a high quality and warm sound. All submitted works will be shared in the space between 10 – 5pm alongside an audio-visual installation by Emily Heaven. Visitors to Listening Space can enjoy other elements of Primary’s offer, including Bradley CoffeeSmall Food Bakery and Beam, alongside Primary’s current exhibition, Be loved by artist Carmen Argote and Eleanor Bartlett.
