Join us for an immersive workshop covering the essential foundations of plant dyeing, to create your own sustainable personal wardrobe or make experimental textile artwork. During the workshop you will learn how to achieve rich lasting colours from plants on natural fibres including wool, cotton and silk. The day will also be one of nurture and nature through plants and colour: you will work alongside other creative people to harvest seasonal flowers from the garden at Primary; share an inclusive seasonal lunch, and enjoy complimentary sweet treats throughout the day, all made by the award winning Small Food Bakery. You will return home refreshed, fulfilled and inspired, bearing a rainbow of samples for future reference and your own patterned bandana. You’ll receive in your inbox digital instructions to continue plant dyeing at home.

Access:

The workshop will take place outdoors; all areas have level access. See Primry’s Visit Us page for more information about access to the site. In the event of rain, we will use a sheltered area.
