This zine is a distillation of learnings, enquiries and questions from the Kolam project curated by Raghavi Chinnadurai within their role as Associate Curator at Primary, Nottingham (November 2024–February 2025), supported by Art Fund. This Kolam Notebook, unlike hereditary transmission bound by bloodlines, reimagines knowledge through chosen kinship and collective learning. It is an iterative archive where marginalised artists and cultural workers across borders exchange methods, stories and critique. By circulating through institutions and communities, it aims to unsettle inherited power and nurture shared, evolving knowledge that crosses time, discipline, generation and borders.
