Jo is an experienced arts professional working in documentary photography and participatory arts.
She has worked in participatory arts for the last 17 years with a wide variety of arts and community organisations managing, coordinating and delivering arts activity, training, mentoring and resources to a broad range of peers and participants. She has particular interest in and experience of working with more marginalised groups and individuals, using the arts to build confidence and explore self-expression as well as developing creative ways to support participant’s genuine involvement in shaping projects and programmes.
Jo specialises in documenting arts activities and has gotten various commissions. Commissions have included several exhibitions, work in publications, as well as many community-based photography projects.
