David is Partner and Head of Commercial Contracts at Flint Bishop Solicitors. His advice spans a variety of sectors and is provided to a range of clients from entrepreneurial start-ups to multinational corporations.

He has a particular specialism in carrying out legal risk audits for businesses which are in a high growth cycle or are preparing for sale. This is audit process is unique to the firm having been developed at Flint Bishop.
Together with advising on high value, complex matters, David provides training and seminars on contract law, the Bribery Act, Data Protection compliance and Intellectual Property. These are delivered to both general audiences or, on a bespoke basis, to clients directly.

During the course of 2012, David spent a significant amount of time working on secondment as part of the in-house legal team at legal publishing giant, Lexis Nexis. Not only did this allow him greater insight into the workings of the business and the role of an in-house lawyer, he has maintained this relationship and now acts in his capacity as a lawyer as well as part of the editorial panel for their in-house PSL product.

David is described as “excellent” in The Legal 500 and has a particular specialism in dealing with software and other IT contracts, conditions for the sale or purchase of goods and/or services, agency and distribution agreements, contract negotiation, collaboration, outsourcing and partnering arrangements as well as data protection compliance and intellectual property licensing and protection.
