We’re pleased to announce that Oliver Tirré and Gareth Proskourine-Barnett have been selected for the Common Ground Residency 2019. They were selected from an open call for artists with practices, or proposals, focusing on sculpture or installation in the broadest sense. Both artists will be resident in the Artists’ Studio at the New Art Gallery Walsall (TNAGW) from 4 June – 14 July, leading to a presentation of work in progress from 16 July – 25 August.

Common Ground is part of a new strand of activity initiated by Eastside Projects and Primary which aims to strengthen relationships between artists and organisations across the East and West Midlands. The residency coincides with TNAGW’s year-long celebration of sculpture in all its forms, marking the 60th anniversary of Sir Jacob Epstein’s death.
