Development Manager at Primary

Primary, an artist-led organisation in the East Midlands, is seeking to appoint a Development Manager to join our team, to take an active and strategic role in fundraising, organisation management and partnership development.
Primary supports creative research through artist studios and residencies, public exhibitions and events, working with local, national and international artists. Through a continuity of ambition – from securing the building and establishing high quality artists studios, to developing new partnerships and shaping the public programme – Primary has rapidly flourished into a key artist-led organisation in the region.
The Development Manager will join the team at an exciting phase of development and will lead on financial strategy and capital development for the organisation. The successful applicant will be responsible for key areas of work including financial management, fundraising and income generation, team co-ordination, partnership development, and oversee building management.
Working closely with the Board of Trustees and staff team, you will have the appropriate skills for this role, and also the passion and commitment to contribute to a shared vision for Primary.
This freelance contract is offered initially on a fixed term contract through to September 2017, working 20 hours per week usually between Monday–Friday 10am-6pm. The salary is dependent on skills and experience.
