A live art cabaret celebrating the centenary of Cabaret Voltaire and Dada
Acts Begin: 20.00
Dada is Umm is a live art cabaret curated by a group of Nottingham artists marking 100 years since Cabaret Voltaire’s Hugo Ball read the first Dada Manifesto.
The evening will begin with a reading of the Dada Manifesto – as delivered by Hugo Ball, wearing a cardboard suit, in July 1916 – followed by a packed programme of poetry, music, sound, light projection, humour and movement (and much more)! The caberet will end with ‘Jam-Dada’ – an explosion of improvised sound and movement in which the audience will be invited to participate.
Dada is Umm celebrates the different, the fabulous, the ugly, the bright, the eccentric, the queer and the bold!
The Small Food Bakery will be serving home-baked treats (and drinks) throughout the evening.
