1.15pm FOOD FIGHT! A game for two teams, Food-based projectiles and protective clothing will be provided
1.00 – 3.00pm Mrs Ricks Cupboard showing the artist Louisa Chambers
2.00 – 2.30pm Nu – Urban Gardeners will be performing
3.00 – 3.30pm A fictional tour led by Wayne Burrows, hear about a history that never happened!
4.00 – 5.00pm In Conversation – The Royal Standard and Mexico
5.00 – 7.00pm RAVEN BURROWS = Old School Breaks # 5. Pitted together by chance, Wayne Burrows and Simon Raven will collaborate in the semi-derelict Blue Building at Primary, showing new video, collage, and performance.
Sunday 1 December

2.00 – 2.30pm Café con Brio -Squeezebox supremo Chris Lewis-Jones and operatic diva Angela Warren play an eclectic mixture of European cabaret songs, operatic arias and self-penned ‘contemporary folk’ compositions, con brio!
3.00 – 5.00pm Core Melt Down performance – Core Melt Down is an audio-visual collaboration between artists Phillip Henderson (audio) and Daniel Williamson (video) using old, found and repurposed technology and media to create repetitive sounds and cut up visuals.
5.00 – 7.00pm RAVEN BURROWS = Old School Breaks # 5, Pitted together by chance, Wayne Burrows and Simon Raven will collaborate in the semi-derelict Blue Building at Primary, showing new video, collage, and performance.
5.00 – 6.00pm ‘INTERMEDIUM’ Film screening and discussion facilitated by Belen Cerezo and Sam Mercer, Vincent Meessen, Vita Nova, 2009, 30 min screening in association with Vdrome. Vita Nova that takes up the cover image of Paris Match of a cadet examined by Roland Barthes as the point of departure to raise new points of view on History and also suppressed stories. Vita Nova explores the colonial ghosts of modernity that haunted Barthes and that survive in the image.
5.00- 9.00pm Hatch presents Primary Nights: 1-2-1 (Free Entry – pay what you think) Hatch, the East Midlands’ leading performance platform opens up the Primary building for a selection of performances designed for an audience of one. Mark your dance card at the Hatch Bar and choose your own adventures for an evening of intimate and playful encounters. As part of the Hatch presents; a new collaboration between a performer, sculptor and dressmaker, audiences are invited to encounter a one-to-one gastronomic performance that plays with the notions of host and guest. Cupboard under the stairs Frank Abbott will be showing a new work, ‘The Making of Processing’ a video of the making of the work which is currently occupying the South Stairwell of Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery.
Project Space 1 The Primary artist programme group and Programme Curator Niki Russell, present a PRIMARY salon hang, which includes a work from each of the artists and artists group based at PRIMARY
Mezzanine An installation of work by Craig Fisher.
The Drawing Board Michael Pinchbeck – The Drawing Board is a space for text or writing, a sort of notice board, for text-based or word-based artwork to live. It will be a space to curate writing by artists or art by writers. The writing is always in chalk and always written by the artist in their own handwriting.
DISPLAY Simon Withers – A decorative series of works that relate to the ‘Speaking in Tongues’ study.
PRIMARY Meeting Room – LISTENING ROOM, Rebecca Lee and Jack Harris – The Listening Room is a quiet, comfortable place where you can hear audio work by PRIMARY residents and artists who have worked with us over the past year. The varied programme includes compositions, audio documentation, sound and voice-based works and field recordings. Artists presenting work include Rhiannon Jones, Simon Raven, Rebecca Lee, Michael Pinchbeck, Heterotic II and recent artist in residence, Jack Harris.
