PRIMARY is delighted to host The Foraged Book Project: “Volume One: Briefs and Proposals” – the first in a series of exhibitions – which documents the beginning of the journey, and explores the possibilities of creating artwork from fully foraged and wild materials. Responding to research carried out by project leaders James Wood and Fergus Drennan, artists involved, Geoffrey Litherland, Simon Withers, Joanne Lee, Yelena Popova, Becky Beinart, Ellen O’ Grady and Julia Groves (amongst many more) are starting to bring foraged and wild materials into their current practices. The journey taken through the exhibitions and artists developing works will be recorded in a range of books, ‘art work’ in themselves, which will strive to be made from fully foraged materials.

To compliment the exhibition there will be a number of activities and workshops taking place:
