Old Skool Breaks No.2
Closing review event 7pm Wednesday 28th August.
Rebecca Gamble & Tom Godfrey
For the month of August two PRIMARY artists works and methodologies meet for the first time. Playing with the potential for reciprocal exchange between two relative strangers who meet through random selection, their conversation unfolds through a series of visual and textual gestures, invitations, actions and provocations. The unknown and the unanticipated properties that exist in this new dialogue will unfold within a specific framework: a month-long duration; a new artist programme; an unknown audience; an in-between space.
Throughout the month of August, Rebecca and Tom will work/experiment/intervene in the PRIMARY Project Spaces, what were once School assembly halls and later ballet rehearsal rooms. By placing and removing, performing and documenting live actions, interventions, structures, designs and text; the artists intentionally leave room for unknown qualities to unfold.
Visitors are welcome to see this unfold at anytime throughout the month by appointment with PRIMARY On Wednesday 28th August Rebecca and Tom will host a closing event to review, reflect and question how this potential has been realised and open up a conversation about artistic collaboration and responding to spaces and situations.
